About the choir
The Hythe Singers is a small and enthusiastic group of amateur singers. We rehearse weekly at The Hythe Centre, Egham Hythe, near Staines, Surrey, UK, and give three concerts a year.We perform a wide and varied repertoire, from arrangements of popular songs to music by classical composers from the 12th to the 21st century.
In recent years, the choir has performed and commissioned a number of works by young contemporary composers, mostly for unaccompanied voices.
In rehearsals we work hard, paying attention to detail and developing our vocal technique. But we also have fun. We want everyone to enjoy the experience of singing together whilst achieving a high standard.
